Kissing the black stone

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: In Satanism, the devil’s presence is represented by a black cube so why is the kabah a black cube?

Also why do Muslims kiss the black stone and treat it like an idol.

Bismillaah

A: If the devil adopts something right as his own then the right does not become wrong. If he for example says that an angel is his symbol this does not make the angel wrong and false.

As above. Perhaps you are ignorant of Islam. The black stone is not treated as an idol. Any person who treats it as an idol is not a Muslim. It is not the stone or the Ka`bah that a Muslim worships, it is the direction that has been decided for prayer. Even if the black stone was not placed where it is placed it will still remain the direction for the prayers.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
