Asking a non-Muslim to make dua

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Can we ask a Jew or Christian to pray for us?

Bismillaah

A: This is totally unwise; a person who has got no connection with Allah, how is he going to pray for you. His relationship with Allah is a relationship of dislike. Allah hates him. So how can he make du`aa for you.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
