Q: My question is regarding to the Sunnah way of keeping beard and mustache in Islam. I am currently 18 years old. I know that one should shave the beard only trim it from edges to give it a proper and decent shape but regarding mustache as we know it should be trimmed. Do we need to shave it off completely or a little trimming? Secondly, how do we know when to shave a mustache, I mean, it is visible on my face so what should be the length of a mustache and when to trim it off?
