Punishment for insulting Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If someone insults Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), will he or she be forgiven if they repent sincerely or will the hadd or punishment still be carried out? Will the ruling be applicable in a Non-Muslim Country?

Bismillaah

A: If he is very sincere about his repentance and he renews his faith this will be accepted.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
