Ruling on Women’s Haircut: To Cut or Not to Cut?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What is the ruling on cutting/trimming hair for women? Is it not permissible to cut hair at all or the hair (except for Hajj and umrah) can be cut but it should be below the level of the shoulders.

Bismillaah

A: Besides Hajj or Umrah, it is not permissible for women to cut or trim their hair.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
