Complaining about the decree of Allah Ta’ala

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If someone feels pain in his back and said O Allah! Why did it happen today. It would have come tomorrow. This statement is according to shariya or not and who speaks it will remain a muslim or not and his nikah will be considered valid?

Bismillaah

A: One should avoid making such statements as this is complaining against the decree of Allah Ta’ala. In all conditions a Mu’min should be pleased with the decree of Allah Ta’ala. However, despite such an utterance being impermissible, it will not cause one to lose his Imaan or cause his nikaah to break. A Mumin should ask and beg Allah Ta’ala for aafiyat and ease at all times. Nevertheless, if difficulty comes upon him, he should exercise patience and perseverance and not complain against the decree of Allah Ta’ala.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
