Meat from Christian/Jewish or Prophet-era slaughter: Is it ethical to consume?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it ok to eat meat slaughtered by current Christians and Jews or those who believed during prophet time?

Bismillaah

A: Contemporary Jews and Christians are just Jews and Christians by name. Most of them don’t believe in their own scriptures. Hence, they are unbelievers, and the slaughtering of an unbeliever is impermissible. For further details refer to http://muftionline.co.za/node/12196

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
