Can Muslims See and Touch Allah in Their Dreams?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it possible for a Muslim to see Allah in light and be able to touch Him with His permission in their dream? I know that it is possible to see Him in light and Prophet Muhammad was touched by Allah, but how about a Muslim who is not a prophet?

Bismillaah

A: Dreams do not come within masaa’il. Like Yusuf (alaihis salaam) had seen the sun and moon prostrating to him. In real life, it is difficult to perceive how can the sun prostrate. This does not fall under ahkaam and laws. Don’t put your mind to these things.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
