The Role of Culture in Islam: Explained.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Culture as you have asked me to explain is a certain way of life found amongst a particular group of people you find themselves connected either through parenthood (ancestor) or sharing of common interest. Such like its the culture of the Arab to give their new babies for breastfeeding. With the above explanaition: What is the rule of culture in Islam?

Bismillaah

A: Some aspects of culture are permissible, like the culture that exists in many people in this way that they wear trousers and a qamees (kurta). This type of a culture is acceptable. In other words, that which comes within the framework of the shariah will be acceptable and permissible.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
