Writing fiction books with lessons

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permissible to write a book with anecdotes that may not necessarily be true but the aim is to provide a lesson to learn from the anecdote. An example of this is the book “Taxi Driver”.

Bismillaah

A: It is alright.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
