Q: I feel a shame for asking this question but when your faith is in jeoperdy, there is nothing to be ashamed of. I love this girl, my mom’s sister’s daughter, my aunt’s daughter. I have talked to her (daughter) and she refused saying that Im her brother. I tried to forget but cant. I even prayed and ask Allah and still my heart is still hanged up on her. I made a mistake questioning Allah’s wisdom saying somthings which could ruin your dua or aakhira. Shaytan uses her as leverage. He whispers into my ears saying don’t even think about that you’re not gonna get it and how long has it been since you’ve been asking Allah and you got no response and how many times did she say no to you so instead why not enjoy other things without marriage. I tell him get out here. All i want is replace her love with Allah and his Messenger (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). All I want is to fill my heart with the love and His Messenger. I want to love Allah and his Messenger more than anything or any girl in my case so that when Allah’s command to me i’m in good terms with Allah. Any naseeha or advice?
A: Sincerely repent to Allah Ta’ala and seek His grace. After salaah, recite the following dua and supplicate to Allah Ta’ala to bless you with a pious and suitable spouse.
رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيْر
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
