Method of conducting ta’leem

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: We are 4-5 ladies having taleem weekly in a small town. We read from Fazail e amal and sunnah kitaab, questions and answers (those which we cannot answer, we answer the following week). Ladies want us to talk also about akhlaaq, death, etc. Kindly recommend kitaabs we can use and also provide correct format of having taleem and any other things we can discuss. Also duaa to be recited at ending of taleem.

Bismillaah

A: Fazaa’il-e-Sadaqaat has got these chapters as well. Look into the contents and you will find all that you are requesting for.

Conduct the ta`leem with the inmates of the home and at a time when there is not much activity in the home. Let the children understand the contents of the stories etc. at their level and thereafter try and see how many lessons you can draw out and how much is applied in your lives.

The du`aa to be read at the end of any sitting and gathering is:

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أشْهَدُ أنْ لَّا إِلهَ إِلاَّ أنْتَ أسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إلَيْكَ

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
