Q: I am unable to get how Hafiz ibn Kathir explained Quran in detail in his Tafseer, ie. Introduction of new words like bin kind etc… From what source ibn Kathir rahimahullah learned these things, I am very curious to know about that.
A: This relates to the science of tafseer and the various sources from which tafseer is acquired. For a detailed understanding regarding this science, you may refer to the kitaab Al-Itqaan of Allamah Suyooti (Rahmatullahi Alaih) or Al Fauzul Kabeer of Hazrat Shah Waliyullah Dehlawi (Rahmatullahi Alaih).
