Is the vomit of a child impure?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What is the ruling regarding clothes that a baby has burped up some vomit on after drinking milk or eating cereal? If one wipes away all traces of vomit is the clothes now paak? Or does one have to completely change it? Jazakallah

Bismillaah

A: If the child vomits a mouthful it will be impure and that portion of the clothes will have to be washed. Wiping it will not suffice. If he vomits less than a mouthful, it will not be impure and you will not need to wash that portion, merely wiping it is sufficient.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
