Marrying a Mehdavi Pathan

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I am a Sunni Muslim and I want to marry a guy who is basically a Mehdavi Pathan but he follows only the Quraan and Hadees and Shariyah which is exactly like me. His Iman is very strong, his belief in Allah is true and he is a hafiz e Quraan. Is nikah jaiz with him?

Bismillaah

A: If his beliefs and actions conform to the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaat then it is permissible to marry him.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
