Interpreting the Qur’an’s Reference to White Faces on Judgment Day

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: When the Qur’an says faces will be white, I was wondering, does it physically mean their faces will turn white on judgment day or just be radiant?

Bismillaah

A: Faces of the righteous will be radiant. The complexion will be what people generally prefer.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
