Switching from Hanafi Fiqh: Acceptance of Namaz and Worship?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If any one follows Imam Abu Hanifa and he knows hanafi fiqh very well. If he leave his fiqh with one reason for hurmat-e-musaaharah and follows another Imam, if he prays namaz and other worship according to another fiqh, his namaaz and worship are accepted or not?

Bismillaah

A: This is called talfeeq, and talfeeq is haraam with the consensus of the ulama. Randomly picking and choosing is not following the shari`ah, it is the following of the nafs and guess work. How can you gain acceptance if you are not following the shari`ah but guesswork and nafs.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
