Help! Can’t Decide on a Name for Our Child: Hanzalah, Abu Bakr, Abdullah, or Ahmedullah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: We cannot decide on a name for our child. I like Hanzalah and my husband likes Abu Bakr. I also dreamt that I had twin boys named Abdullah and Ahmedullah. Abdullah was my first choice. Please advise.

Bismillaah

A: In these matters, though it is permissible for you to discuss the name of the child with your husband, however, it will be more in keeping to nobility and respect that you allow your husband to choose the name.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
