Can a Couple Reconcile After Multiple Divorces?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If someone divorced his wife once and then reconciled and after some period of time he issued another talaaq and then things settled down and then he issued it for the third time, so are they allowed to live together?

Bismillaah

A: Once the third talaaq has been issued, the nikaah terminates and it is no longer possible for both to remarry.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
