Should khilaal be made once or thrice in wudhu?

Q: During wudhu is it Sunnah to make khilaal of the fingers, beard and toes three times or once? What is the reference for the above from saheeh Hadith?

Bismillaah

A: Once.

The general Ahaadith do not mention three times. Refer to Tirmizi and Abu Dawood Shareef.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
