Confusion about Witr Salaah: Hadith vs Hanafi Fiqh

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My question is regarding witr Salaah. In one Hadith the prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) forbade praying witr like maghrib but in the hanafi fiqh it is prayed like maghrib and I am a bit confused. Please clarify.

Bismillaah

A: Masha-Allah, it seems like you have got a great understanding of hadeeth and you can separate the authentic from the unauthentic and the mansookh from the ghayr mansookh. So we will refer you to I`laaus Sunan where you can carry out your independent study in this respect.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
