Relationship Dilemma: Istikhara Results in Confusion and Breakup – Seeking Advice

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: A female and I have have been involved in a relationship for about 10 months. I know it was haraam. We didn’t do anything but it is still haraam. We started discussing marriage and when she read istikhara she felt very confused and uneasy. She dream’t of black and red colours and in her dreams she was very scared. She spoke to elders and a senior moulana who advised her against the marriage, yet I feel strongly for her. She has broken everything off with me. Should I consult her parents regarding this or leave it? I don’t know what to do.

Bismillaah

A: Leave it out and make taubah for the wrong haraam relationship.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
