Can Muslims Benefit from Thanksgiving Sales Despite Religious Differences?

Q: Thanksgiving is a non-Muslim holiday and we must refrain from celebrating it. During the Thanksgiving days, many shops put their items on sale at very cheap prices.These included permissible items also. Will it be permissible to buy items in those days and hence benefit from the thanksgiving sale/discount?Although we do have abhorrence for thanksgiving?
