Akhyaafee (consanguine) siblings

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If my mother had children out of wedlock, are these children considered to be my siblings according to Islam? Am I responsible for them as the older child. We have different dads but my mom was married to my dad.

Bismillaah

A: Yes, they are your akhyaafee (consanguine) siblings.

Yes.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
