Sharing Ahaadith without checking the authenticity

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I used to share Ahaadith on facebook without confirming their authenticity. Now I have deleted the Ahaadith. My question is that what if the Ahaadith are fake or unauthentic? Will I be punished and what should I do to correct my mistake as many people must have read the Ahaadith?

Bismillaah

A: You rather make it known to those people that you don’t know the authenticity of the ahaadeeth, hence they should not quote those ahaadeeth.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
