Does the husband have any right over the gifts that were given to the wife at the time of nikaah?

Q: When two people get married, family and friends give money gifts to bride and groom. In Pakistani tradidition called salami. Does the money given to bride belong to her or does the husband have a right over that?


A: What is given to the bride belongs to her. The husband cannot make any claim in her wealth.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
