Cutting the hair in different lengths

Q: I have straight hair and it naturally grows longer at the top and front and shorter on the sides. When I get a hair cut I trim all my hair but leave my top and front of the over the forehead less trimmed and the sides a bit more. I don’t shave any part of my hair, but just trim unevenly to preserve my hair’s natural growth. I also like to part my hair and would like to do something maybe like gel to make it stand a bit. I want to do this to make my hair look bigger and I don’t mean to gel it straight up and down, but rather diagonally so it looks like a puffy side part. I don’t have an intention to imitate kuffar or do qaza and I’ve gotten this style from the Middle East and in America. Is this permissible?

Bismillaah

A: Whether you intend qaza` or not, but this type of a haircut amounts to qaza`.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
