Small Mosque Size: 40 Dhira or Less in Square Meters?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: It is said that a small mosque is less than 40 dhira. What would this measure in square meters?

Bismillaah

A: A Musjid-e-kabeer is a Musjid which is 334,451 square metres or more. Hence a Musjid-e-sagheer (small musjid) is a musjid which is less than 334.451 square metres.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
