Is it compulsory for women to wear bangles?

Q: I want to know if it is compulsory for Muslim girls/women to wear bangles. I have relatives who say that if a girl/woman does not wear bangles, then even water from her hand is makruh. I have read many articles on this issue but I want a reference either from the Qur’an or Hadith so that I can be clear.

A: It is not compulsory.
