Virtues of making wudhu at home before going to the Musjid

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Please can I have the virtues of performing wudhu at home before going to the Musjid for men.

Bismillaah

A: It is reported in the Mubaarak Hadith that the one who performs his wudhu at home and thereafter he goes to the Musjid to perform his fardh Salaah, he receives the reward of the one in Ihraam who is performing Hajj. In another Hadith it is reported that the one who performs his wudhu at home and thereafter he goes to the Musjid to perform his fardh Salaah, for one step he takes his sin is forgiven and for the next step he takes, his rank is raised.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
