Intentionally breaking a qadha fast of Ramadhaan: Is the 60-day kaffarah necessary?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a person is fasting a qadha fast of Ramadhaan and breaks it intentionally, is the 60 days kaffarah due?

Bismillaah

A: Kaffarah will not be waajib. He will only have to keep the qadha fast. He should make tawbah for breaking the qadha fast without a valid reason.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
