Working as a facility manager for a bank

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My son applied for a job as a facility manager in a habiba bank London where we live. He had an interview and now he has been offered a job. He did ask them about income. They said its not related to any finance department. His job will be working under someone else as a facility supervisor, building and outside jobs. He told me that he will not be working directly in finance. My concern is should he accept the job?

Bismillaah

A: If the job is of a permissible nature, it will be permissible, however being part of an interest-based operation is detestable.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
