Authentic Hadiths: References Included

Q: Are the following Hadiths a fabrication or are they authentic? Please also provide a reference.

1. “Rajab is Allah’s month, Sha’baan is my month and Ramadaan is the month of my Ummah.”

2. “Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave.”

1. We have not come across this hadeeth.

2. This is not a Hadith, rather it is the statement of some of the salaf (pious predecessors).

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
