Employee using itr testers that are meant for the customers

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I work in a shop that sells perfumes, so we keep testers (a open bottle to smell/try). Some perfumes are sold out and we are no longer ordering stock but the samples are still in the shop. (I made my boss aware that the stock is sold out and told him to take it home since we no longer needed it). Is it wrong to use the tester (both the sold out ones and the newer ones)? I would assume my boss is aware I am using the testers since he can smell it on me.

Bismillaah

A: Avoid using the testers that are supposed to be for the clients.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
