Dealing with the Effects of Eating Haraam Food

Q: What happens to a person when he eats haraam food and what can be done to take out the ill effects of it?

Bismillaah

A:

1. He loses the reward of his ibaadaat for forty days and his duas are not accepted during this period.

2. He should sincerely repent to Allah Ta’ala and reform his ways.
