Pet Bells: Permissible or Prohibited?

Q:

1. Is it permissible to give a pet (like a cat or a bird) a toy bell to play with? The bell obviously makes a sound when the animal is playing with it.

2. Is it permissible to attach a bell to the collar of a pet cat? It would help in finding the cat as the bell makes a sound with any small movement the animal makes.

1. No.

2. If it is just to alert and for it not to endanger its life then it is permissible.
