Going for Hajj with one’s brother in-law

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Can I (unmarried female) go for Umrah or Haj with my mother, brother in-law and my sister?

Bismillaah

A: In Islam it is not permissible for a woman to travel for the safar distance (78 km or more) without a mahram. Your brother in-law is not your mahram. Hence it is not permissible for you to travel for Hajj or Umrah in this manner.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
