Decoding the Dua: Allahum Maqdif Fee Qalbi Rajaa’ak

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Please can you kindly give the meaning of the dua which starts as:- Allahum maqdif fee qalbi rajaa’ak wakta’ rajaai amman siwaak.

Bismillaah

A: The translation of this part of the du`aa is: ‘O Allah, entrench the hope for You in my heart and sever my hope from everything else.’
We do not have the wording of the remainder of the du`aa.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
