Q: Can an unmarried girl have bay’at with a sheikh without the permission of her father, provided she doesn’t keep rabita with the sheikh directly but through some halaal source?

Bismillaah

A: On account of the abundance of fitnah and suspicion, it is best that she does the bay`at with the approval and knowledge of her parents. They should always be watching the correspondence.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
