1) Jamaat Obedience vs Takbir-e-Oola: What Should You Prioritize?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q:

1) If a person is in jamaat and the ameer tells him to do something that will cause him to miss Takbir-e-oola, should he obey?

2) If a person is in jamaat and the ameer tells him to do something like asking a Muslim lady they see walking if she knows where the Muslims gather for salaah.

Bismillaah

A:

1. The ameer should realise that he does not order anybody to do anything that will amount in the person missing out his takbeer-e-oola.

2. If he does not fears any fitnah it is permissible.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
