Hijab from adopted daughter

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Fatwa.org.au
Does my adopted daughter have to make hijab from me?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Merely by adopting someone, he/she does not become like one’s real son/daughter or one’s mahram. Hence, your adopted daughter must do hijab from you.

And Allah knows best.
