Q1-IN THE MASJID THERE IS A BOX IN WHICH UNWANTED OLD QUR’ANS ISLAMIC BOOKS ARE PUT IN SO THAT THEY CAN DISPOSE IT SOME WHERE, IS IT PERMISSIBLE TO TAKE THE ISLAMIC BOOKS FOR A PERSON TO KEEP AND READ WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF THE MOSQUE?
Answer:
Items placed for disposal of any nature does not remain the property of the original owner. For this and other deductions, it is however permissible to claim possession of Islamic books which were placed with the object of disposal without the permission of the trustees of the Masjid.
