Wiping or washing over a morphine patch

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by IslamicPortal.co.uk

When taking a bath, can a lady wipe over or wash a morphine patch she has to apply to her back to manage pain as her body cannot tolerate taking it orally?

Answer

If the morphine patch cannot be removed on medical grounds, it is permissible to wash or wipe over it. She must wash the rest of her body as usual.
