Eating forgetfully during Salah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by IslamicPortal.co.uk

Is the Ṣalāh of a person valid who ate something without knowing?

Answer

If someone eats or drinks deliberately or forgetfully during Ṣalāh, his Ṣalāḥ breaks and he is required to repeat it. However, if someone swallows what is in between his teeth and it is less than the size of a chickpea, his Ṣalāh will not break. Otherwise, his Ṣalāh will break.
