Those who do not make salam are the most miserly

Is this correct?

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The stingiest are those who are miserly with making salam [i.e. greeting first or replying to salam]”

Answer

Yes, this is an authentic Hadith of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) recorded in Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan (4498), Al Mu’jamul Awsat (5587) and other Hadith collections.

Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith authentic. ‘Allamah Mundhiri (rahimahullah) states ‘[The chain of Tabarani] is authentic [jayyidun qawiyy].
