If a person loves Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then he should be prepared for poverty

Is this narration correct?

Once a man came to Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and said, “By Allah, I love you.” Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Look at what you are saying.” The man said, “By Allah, I love you.” And he repeated this sentence three times. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “If you really love me, then prepare a shield against poverty [i.e. be prepared for poverty], for poverty rushes more rapidly towards a person who loves me, than a flood flows towards its end point.”

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Al Mughaffal (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He has declared the Hadith sound (hasanun gharib). Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith authentic.

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2350, Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 2922, with variation in the wording)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
