Unreliable virtue of visiting the sick

Is the following authentic?

To visit the sick is more beloved in the sight of Allah than ‘ibadah for 40 or 50 years 

Answer

Visiting the sick is extremely rewarding and very much encouraged. However, the narration in question has been declared a fabrication by the Hadith masters.
