The Banu Tamim tribe

Do you know of a Hadith that mentions Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) asking Allah Ta’ala to bless the Banu Tamim tribe?

Answer

I have not come across a Hadith which states that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) made du’a for Allah to bless the Banu Tamim tribe.

However, there are a few other virtues of this tribe mentioned in Hadith. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says, “I have loved the Banu Tamim since I heard Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) say three things about them. I heard him say, ‘They will be the strongest against Dajjal.’ When their zakah came, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, ‘This is the zakah of our people.’ and ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha)  had a prisoner of war from their tribe and Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) told her, ‘Set her free for she is one of the descendants of Isma’il.’”

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 2543, 4366 and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2525. Also see: Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 10 pg. 46-48)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
