Pronunciation of a word in the Hadith regarding Nabi’s (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) advice to ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma)

Regarding the famous Hadith wherein Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) taught Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah Ibn Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) about Iman and other aspects, The Hadith ends with the words: Jaffatis Suhuf. Is it pronounced Jaffat or Juffat? I have heard some recite it both ways.

Answer

Jaffat (جَفَّتْ) is the correct way. I have not come across any commentator stating that both ways are correct.
