Reciting Surah Sajdah to repel Shaytan?

Is this Hadith authentic?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Shaytan does not enter the house for three days when Surah Sajdah is recited”

Answer

This narration has been cited in Tafsir books. However, Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) states that he has not come across a source for this (lam ajidhu).

(Al Kafish Shaf, pg. 224, Hadith: 869)

The Hadith in question should not be quoted, until it can be sourced and verified.

However, you may recite Surah Baqarah, for Shaytan flees from a house in which Surah Baqarah is recited. See here.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
